Life gets in the Way

Once again, my blog posts are going to be a little sporadic.  The garden is coming in.  Since mom is busy trying to keep on top of dad's chemo treatments and doctor appointments, I'm in charge of putting up food for the winter.  (Have I ever mentioned my deep understanding for why fast-food is such a popular concept?)  Gotta say my job is a lot easier than my mom's.  I would hate to do that sort of schedule juggling.  She is an absolutely amazing woman.

    And especially good luck with your Dad's chemo. {Sympathetic Smile, HUGS}

  2. Thanks. I had some brotherly help juicing tomatoes today. As for the chemo, it's very frustrating for dad that the cure makes him feel so sick. :(

  3. I'm glad your brother(s) helped out. I do find more hands help a job go more quickly. Especially when the company is congenial. {SMILE}

    Yes. A friend recently went thru chemo, and she felt that same frustration. So did I; we mainly keep in touch thru email, and she often just didn't feel up to it. Which didn't help. {lop-sided smile}

  4. It's funny how much someone else's sickness still affects you. Even just little things like the fact that dad hasn't been bothering to come to the supper table anymore (since he hasn't felt up to eating much).

  5. Yes, not having him at the table does affect you. His chair is probably there and empty, which is a pretty good reminder of what's going on elsewhere. Even if things have been rearranged, that change reminds you about that. At least I know of no good way to escape reminders of a serious illness. {small smile, Sympathetic Hug}
